Legends Transalp

They’ve been a team for 17 years: MTB freeride pioneer Tarek Rasouli as manager, and bike legend Danny MacAskill, whose videos have achieved cult status far beyond the scene. A joint Alpine crossing has been on their bucket list for ages – but it takes an adaptive mountain bike with a Bosch e-drive to make it possible for Tarek, who is paraplegic. So they set off: from Munich’s Olympiaberg, through the Ötztal, all the way to Lake Garda in Trentino – powered by arms and electric assist. Along the way, more friends join the ride, including three-time Transalp winner Karen Eller and downhill icon Greg Minnaar. The only question is: who worries more about whom – Danny about Tarek, who wants to tackle high-alpine bike park trails? Or Tarek about Danny, who rounds every corner looking for the next hair-raising stunt?
